Today we are happy to welcome Geoff O’Dea to our Global Restructuring & Insolvency Group. Geoff joins our London office from Freshfields. He has almost 20 years experience in restructuring and insolvency matters, regularly advising sponsors, special situations funds, creditors and debtors, and insolvency practitioners. He is an expert and published author on Schemes of Arrangement: Law and Practice, the leading treatise on the most common corporate restructuring tool and the preferred method of implementing takeovers in the UK. He also has extensive experience in a number of lending products and has a strong background in acquisition financing.

In addition to his role in the London Banking & Finance team, Geoff will join the Firm’s Global Restructuring & Insolvency Group and will work closely with its Co-Chairs Debra A. Dandeneau and Ian Jack.
